Special to the Rappahannock News
Rappahannock Youth Soccer League played its seventh weekend of games, Saturday, Oct. 19.
U-8
This week found Rappahannock's U-8 Fireballs, sponsored by motorcycle Factory Inc., playing in Madison. Lauren Eline, Brigid Sladky, Seth Wayland and Peter Lee all took turns in goal and were put to the test by Madison. Madison scored early in the first quarter and followed up soon after with another. Billy Hogan and Conor O’Heir evened up the game in the second quarter and the teams were evenly matched throughout. The fourth quarter saw Madison scoring again and taking the win. Go Fireballs!
The Green Dragons, sponsored by Curtis Crawford played against the Blue Gators, sponsored by Rush River Farm. Both Rapp teams displayed superior sportsmanship as they were all team players and have improved so much putting what they do in practice out there on the playing field.
