18 soccer team sponsored by Kreyling Construction, traveled yet again to Madison for their last game of the season. Rapp dominated in time of possession for the entire first half but failed to find the back of the net. The Madison keeper came up big on numerous occasions to keep it 0-0 at the break.
During the second half it was Madison s turn to threaten as Rapps keeper Tom Pendleton made some heart stopping saves to keep the Mounties off the board. Midway through the half Juan Tisera collected a through ball in traffic and was able to toe poke it into the lower right corner to get Rapp a one goal lead. As it looked like one goal would be enough, Rapp went into it's defensive stance trading a striker for a fifth defender.
As the last 10 minutes of the game crawled along ever so slowly it looked like the single tally would stand. With less than 30 seconds, the sterling Rapp defensive back line <at this point of the game consisting of all varsity male players) was caught flat footed as a Madison player nodded the ball in from the six. The final score Rapp 1 Madison 1. Rapp finished their season going 3-1-1.
Juan Tisera had 10 goals in five games to lead the team in scoring. Larry Oliver had an outstanding season as sweeper and newcomer Paige Payne looked solid in the midfield.
