He was for many years, and until his passing, an active participant and ardent supporter of the Commemorative Air Force, an association devoted to the preservation and teaching of the history of United States World W7ar II military aircraft.

For the past twelve years he frequently flew across the country on “Fifi", the only airworthy B-29 still in existence.

He gave much of his time and resources over the years to help young people understand the sacrifices of World War II veterans.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, WTilliam Francis Hudson and his step-daughter, Katherine J. Martin. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Hart Hudson, two sons, Joseph
