The Virginia Department of Transportation in conjunction with the Virginia Road and Transportation Builders Association are sponsoring Work Zone Awareness Week from April 6-12.
Murphy and former trooper Bart Rogers, now of the cooperate safety officer for General Excavation, Inc., are hoping to remind drivers just how dangerous work zones can be.
