I plan on finding the nest before it finds me, as I’m sure a bird that size can produce quite a load.
Herons don’t like to have rookeries disturbed.
They need plenty of space, unpolluted shallow water or wetland with trees nearby for nesting, and no disturbances from unruly pets.
If you can provide such habitat on your property, you may get lucky and have some of these impressive birds.
