Wednesday and Friday nights, March 22 and 24. . . .Four hams weighing approximately 35 pounds each were taken during the raids, two hams disappearing from the meat house each night. The hams (were) sold at Alvan Stokes in Front Royal (and) were identified as those belonging to Mr. Wiliams.

An effort to allow toll-free calls between 937 and 675 telephone subscribers has progressed to the state of a survey conducted by the Central Telephone Co. and C & P Telephone Co. Local 937 and 675 subscribers have received post cards to be returned with a yes or no vote. Roger Batchelder, coordinator for RLEP, earnestly urges all 937 and 675 subscribers to vote "Yes" on the cards.
