tours of Japan. This spring he will be performing at the Bern Jazz Festival in Switzerland. He has performed with the Dizzy Gillespie Quintet in Africa, at the White House on more than one occasion, and at Carnegie Hall with Mel Tonne.
Like Redd, Steve Novosel has played at the Theatre in “Little” Washington on several occasions. He works often with vocalist Shirley Horn and saxophonist David Newman. He has over 50 recordings to his credit.
