Bom in California in 1958, Alden began playing at the age of 10 and, as he grew older, worked professionally around Los Angeles playing in groups ranging from traditional to mainstream to modem jazz.
On moving to New York City in 1982, his skills as soloist and accompanist were quickly recognized, and he now performs widely both nationally and internationally.
Alden gathers accolades from critics wherever he plays.
