What I’m not willing to pay a extra penny for, however, is the football program. I think football is a fine game and may be just as characterbuilding as soccer, volleyball, and tiddly-winks. It just happens to be a lot more expensive than other sports.
I was against it when it was proposed for our schools last year, on the grounds that it would take too much money to set up and run, and shift attention and resources away from the excellent range of sports activities already available to our youngsters.
