Times Community Newspapers President Peter Arundel has assumed the position of chief executive, officer, succeeding his father, Arthur W. “Nick” Arundel, as head of all company operations and chief spokesman for the company.
Peter Arundel said one of the things he’d like to execute as CEO is a more participatory, community approach to the newspapers.
“I will be putting into play measures that actively solicit the views of the community on issues of coverage,” he said. “That may include the very role of the newspaper in the community. With our limited resources, I feel we can cover a lot more ground by better embracing the thoughts of our customers.”
He said another initiative will be to study very closely the contemporary reader trends as they relate to what people young and old are looking for in a community newspaper
