Luke disagreed with Svatos, stating, “this issue has come before the Board of Supervisors numerous times with public forums and it remains, that this contract achieves what the board set out to do.”
In response, Bryant Lee, Hampton District Board of Supervisor said, “I think downzoning gets a grasp on the property. This could have been big trouble if the zoning had been left the way it was.”
In a roll call vote, each board member present responded, “Aye.”
Due to recent illness, Charles K. “Pete” Estes was the only board member not present for the meeting.
