strong ties for me is the community itself. There are several large families that have deep roots here and they have long helped to shape our little piece of the county. Although it isn’t exactly like it was, say 10 years ago, driving up the main road through the mountain is a bit like riding in a parade. Every few houses you will pass someone you know, either on the porch or out in the yard, who will stop and wave or call you over for a short visit.
