There is a now a brand new column from Rappahannock’s biggest little community, Chester Gap. For those of you who don’t know, we’re a small mountain community located on the Rappahannock/Warren County line just off Rt. 522 south. There are several different features that make our little community, so unique.
One of the main ones is the weather. This past Thursday the first real dose of winter fell on the county. But, the mountain got a little bit more and seems to hold onto it long after the rest of the county has thawed.
Anyone who lives on top of the mountain call tell you, the fog, is another unique, often challenging, misty element. The fog can drive, pun intended, folks who are not originally from the mountain crazy when they are forced to tiy their nerves at nagivating up and down the road through it.
