Scoutmaster Roger Pierson, who had earlier in the year received the District Award for meritorious service to the Shenrapawa Scout District, received the Scoutmaster Award of Merit, presented by Walter Longyear representing the National Eagle Scout Association. The award recognizes scoutmasters who guide 50 percent or more of their scouts to First Class Rank diming their tenure. Congratulations to the scouts for the initiative and effort they put into their advancement, and to Mr. Pierson for his commitment and dedication to Troop 36.
The formal aspects of the Court of Honor were followed by food and fellowship. A good time was had by all.
