Arthur Arundel continues as chairman of the board for ArCom and publisher for editorial purposes of the company’s paid newspapers, including the Times-Mirror. He remains a member of the Times Community Newspapers Editorial Board.
The Founder of Arundel Communications, he originated in American journalism the concept of All News Broadcasting at Washington radio station WAVA.
He was inducted into the Hall of Fame of Virginia Communications in 2001. He purchased and became publisher of the Times-Mirror in 1963.
