The board also heard a recommendation by Dr. Monira Rifaat, representative of the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District, for resolution for Bruce and Susan Jones, of Hampton District, for Outstanding Farm Conservation Management.
The Jones’ received the award in Nov. by the district, being recognized as citizens who practice excellent conservation efforts on their 88-acre farm which contains two ponds, wetlands, an open meadow and woods.
The couple have attempted to protect the steams from cattle, ensuring great water quality.
