our new neighbors, who have moved out here from the city, find this a little bothersome.
I find it reassuring that while it may look a little old fashioned or backwards to outsiders, it represents a precious part of a community that is exactly the place where I want to live and raise my children. For the most part, the leadership in Rappahannock County has kept the sprawl out, along with traffic lights and congestion and maintained an old south charm and atmosphere where folks still take the time to vist with one another. That is why I have worked so hard to stay and raise my own family here.
