both rattled off one funny joke after another. The pastor continued to please the audience with a gifted pantomime of Willie Nelson’s famous “It Ain’t Necessarily So.”
Another musical highlight of the evening was the performance of the professional duo known as “A+” in which Alice Reeve and Tbm Guidice sang and played their own hauntingly beautiful ballads. An added bonus to the evening was a Cappello singer Sara Klepplinger of the Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville, who sang the hymn, “Never Alone”.
In bidding his appreciative audience good night, Rev. Bailey thanked the many people who made this program such an entertaining event, including the masters of ceremony, Pete and Sally Fetter. Bailey also again remembered the victims of the tsunami disaster in a prayer and reminded the group of the theme of the program: “Life has its rhythms . . . sometimes we weep, sometimes we are happy. We thank the Lord for our good times and pray for those whose lives have been devastated by the recent tsunami. We offer both our prayers and donations to help these unfortunate people recover and prosper.”
Over $700 was raised in this one event — all of which will be sent to the Baptist International Mission to be used in the recovery and reconstruction of the affected areas.
