On Sunday afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Settle hosted party to honor their daughter, Serena, on her birthday.
Guests attending who brought gifts and good wishes were Douglas Settle and Mr. and Mrs. Austin Settle of Rixeyville; Robert Johnson of Orange; Adam, Miranda and Doranda Settle; Mr. and Mrs. Shelvy Frazier, Joseph and Jennifer Peregory; and Ray Wharton local.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Peregory and Mrs. Lucille Peregory of Front Royal, joined by Mrs. Johnny Bragg and daughter, Kelli, were in Orange on Saturday to visit Mrs. Peregor/s sister, Mrs. Violet Racer, who is quite ill. On their return home they dined at Country Cookin’ in Culpeper.
The family of Sgt. Daniel Knick are grateful to many friends for their prayers on behalf of Daniel while serving in Kuwait and Iraq. He arrived back in Wisconsin on Tuesday, and is to arrive in Kentucky on Sunday, where he was attending college befoie being deployed. While overgj seas, he commanded a group of men in Iraq who maintained Army vehicles. Sgt. Knick is a nephew of this writer.
