A graveside service was held Friday, January 13 at Quantico National Cemeteiy, in Quantico, Va., with full military honors provided by the United States Army.

Amissville resident
Minnie Burke Payne, 80 of Amissville, died Tuesday Jan. 10 at her residence.
Mrs. Payne was bom March 22, 1925 in Kingsport, TN, a daughter of the late Nelson H. Burke and Bertha Caywood Burke. She was married to the late John B. Payne, Sr.
She was employed by Rhodes Drug Store in Warrenton for 11 years. She also worked at Payne’s Restaurant, the family business in Warrenton for many years. After her husband passed away, she was employed by Warrenton Gift Shop until she moved to Delaware in 1984 to be closer to her daughter and son. While in Delaware, she was employed by two different Hallmark stores in Rehoboth Beach.
