Several parents got together and pooled resources at the end of the season to place an ad to congratulate the teams and to let the kids know we were proud of them. At Wakefield, we also have Athletes of the Month; they too receive little or no coverage. Our varsity girls basketball team has won several games against tough opponents, while we have a player on the boys team averaging over 26 points a game. We’d like to see these stories covered.
