Do you want to plant trees? The District and USDA have many programs to help pay for them. One federal program, the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP), can financially profit the landowner through land rental payments, rather than simply cost sharing the installation of best management practices and tree planting.

Do you have a critically eroding area that needs shaping, fertilizing, and seeding to stabilize? The District can help there too. Critical areas are eligible for up to seventy-five percent cost sharing and an additional tax credit.
