By Richard Lykes Special to the Rappahannock News Scrabble School was the topic of a threepart presentation on Friday evening at the Rappahannock County Library. The event, co-sponsored by the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and Community (RAAC) and the Scrabble School Preservation Foundation, was organized to illuminate the work now underway to preserve the Scrabble Elementary School—one of several small schoolhouses built in the early 1920s to provide education to young black students in the county.
