Leo Club hosted successful food drive

The food drive sponsored by. the Rappahannock County High School Leo Club was quite a success.
Students at the high school brought in canned food for roughly a one-month period from November 16 to December 13, 2005 during their first period classes.
Apple Hill Bakery in Sperryville provided a big incentive. The class bringing in the most would get a free breakfast.
This year the winning class was Beth Gall’s Environmental Science Class with a total of 361 cans. The main source of cans in that class was from senior Vincent Rice, who alone donated more than 120 of his own cans to the food drive. His generosity towards the needy was a great asset to his class and to the community.
Combining all of the first period classes, the total number of cans donated was 657. The Leo Club Food Drive is an annual activity that is looked forward to every year and one that provides extra food to those in the county who need it.
