Art of living Yoga of Breath

course to be offered

Ankur Rupani is inviting the public to free introductory sessions of the world famous Art of laving Yoga of Breath course that will be offered at Hearthstone School in Sperryville at the end of March.

“You can come and know about this wonderful course which millions have done all around the world in over 144 countries,” encouraged Rupani.

The six-session program will be held from March 30 to April 4.

The free introductory sessions will be held at the Rappahannock County Library on Wednesday, January 25, from 4-5 p.m. and again on Wednesday, February 1, from 4-5 p.m.

Sessions include light yoga, meditation and introduction to the Yoga of breath course.

The Art of Living Breath Course is a revival of the ancient Vedie knowledge and the healing power of the breath, the Art of Living Course includes meditation and breathing processes which reduce fear and anxiety, and help promote well-being and a sense of peace. The techniques are simple to learn and easy to practice.

Benefits include reduced stress, improved health and wellness, heightened enthusiasm, greater concentration, improved self-esteem, greater creativity and clarity of mind, increased physical energy, and enhanced interpersonal skills.

Workshop on Coping with Grief

Hospice of the Rapidan is offering a free workshop on “Coping with Grief - How Tb Brighten The Winter Blahs” on Thursday, January 26. The discussion will cover issues and concerns of people who have recently lost a family member, loved one or close friend, which can be more of a burden during the shorter days of the winter season. All members of the public are welcome and no prior affiliation with Hospice of the Rapidan is necessary. The workshop will be held on Thursday, January 26, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the community room of Hospice of the Rapidan, 1200 Sunset Lane, Culpeper. Reservations are appreciated but not necessary. Reservations and additional information are available from Craig Wilt at 540-825-4840.

Hospice of the Rapidan offers a broad range of grief support services to families throughout Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, Rappahannock and surrounding counties. Many families receiving grief support have experienced the death of a family member who was not under Hospice of the Rapidan’s care, including families who did not have the opportunity to say good-bye because their loved one died suddenly. This caring service is offered free of charge even though its costs are not reimbursed by Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance.
