This was the third National Geographic Bee in which WCDS has participated. This year’s WCDS contestants were the two top students in grades four through eight who had competed in their individual class competitions: 4th Grade: Lucy Van Ness of Washington and Marcus Williams of Front Royal; 5th Grade: Daniel Chadduck of Winchester and Heniy Johnson of Warrenton; 6th Grade: Will Mullany of Washington and John Morgan Christoph of Front Royal 7th Grade: Laura Bancroft, arid Alex Hernandez of Marshall; 8th Grade: Kathie Huang of Amissville and Andy Leser of Front Royal.
The WCDS competition consisted of a Final round and a Championship Round. Students were eliminated from the Final Round after giving two incorrect answers. Upon completion of the fourth series of questions,
