spotlight and encourage wholesome activities by kids, be it sports or other areas of interest, is a good thing. And, yes, a newspaper is in business to make money, so some of what is printed (or not printed) is driven by advertising, but we shouldn’t lose sight of the fact that those newspapers ads are often placed by the very same community members who read it. Ms. Hitt said she could not speak for Wakefield, but in my view she represented us well! Let’s see more about our young people and their sports accomplishments in our local paper!
