Two Rappahannock wrestlers won individual championships in the district match in Manassas Park last Saturday. Conner Miller won a gold medal alter beating every wrestler in his 103 lbs. weight class. Miller beat Maximo Gonzalez a Manassas Park wrestler ranked second in the district and pinned Moriyasu Fukasawa, a Strausburg wrestler ranked fourth in his weight class.
Foreign exchange student Arne Utne also won a district championship in his 189 lbs. weight class. Utne pinned Manassas Park wrestler Michael Kilburn and beat Stephen Parks, winning with a take down in double overtime against a George Mason wrestlers in the finals. This is Utne’s first year wrestling.
