In addition the Tuckers foster parented two dozen children in their home. She also had been involved with numerous activities at St. Michaels Episcopal Church in Arlington, and in Rappahannock County she had served with the Garden Club and the Episcopal Church Women at Trinity Church. She loved the hills of Virginia, and enjoyed traveling anywhere, especially the mountains of the West. She always wanted to visit Switzerland, but never got to do so, except through her picture books.
Her husband of 62 years passed away in 2002.
Mrs Tucker is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Tucker Nicol, of Richmond, Va., and sons Thomas Tucker of Silver Gate, Montana; James F. Tucker cjf Warrenton, Va., and Donald Lee Tucker, of Washington, daughter- in-law Patricia A Tucker, of Warrenton, and four grandchildren, Matthew Tucker and his finance Cory Caulfield of Rappahannock County, Christopher Tucker
