March 5 . , It’s time to get ready for spring and summer food events! If you “Feed A Crowd” with your church group, youth group, . . rescue squad, fire department or other group then this claw* is for you. Members of your group learn food safety standards, food thermometer and glove use, and ways to keep food safe and dean. Each group will receive a food thermometer, hand washing posters, temperature booklet, local regulations on temporary events and other useful items. Best of all the class is FREE. A certificate for completing the four-hour class in the name of the organization with the participants’ listed will be mailed at the conclusion of class.
All three classes held from 5 pan.—9 pan. in the evening.

Free 5-day Workshop
on Coping With Grief
, Begins March 6
- Hospice of the Rapidan is offering a free 5-week “Coping with Gnef - Spring Workshop’ on Tuesdays beginning March 6 through April 3. Tbpics will include issues and concerns of people who have recently lost a family member, loved one or dose friend, which can be felt more deeply with the rebirth of spring. Many who have suffered a loss fold these workshops to be a great help because of the mutual support of others in a similar situation. Knowing your loss is not unique is often a great comfort. All members of the public are welcome and no prior affiliation with Hospice of the Rapidan is necessary. The workshop will be held in the community room of Hospice of the Rapidan, 1200 Sunset Lane, Culpeper from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Reservations are appreciated but not necessary. Reservations and additional information are available from Craig Wilt at 540-825-4840.
Hospice of the Rapidan offers a broad range of grief support services to families throughout Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, Rappahannock and surrounding counties. Many families receiving grief support have experienced the death of a family member who was not under Hospice of the Rapidan’s care, including families who did not have the opportunity to say good-bye because their loved one died suddenly. This caring service is offered free of charge even though its costs are not reimbursed by Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance.
