Around Presidents’ Day, we remember those founding fathers who built the foundation of oar democracy and gave us our legacy of freedom. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Abraham Lincoln come to mind, for they were the leaders who laid the plans and determined and upheld the principles upon which our nation was founded. Although he wasn’t a president, Martin Luther King, Jr. also was an important part of the heritage of freedom. In honor of those who gave us freedom, we can continue to sustain and
. strengthen that legacy.
How can we uphold our freedom? The Bible tells us that though mankind changes, God’s Word never changes. This is our spiritual foundation. The Lord’s foundation remains unblemished by time, and it keeps us strong and free. In 2 Corinthians 3:17 it says, ‘Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is . there is freedom."
Worship each week. Keep your spiritual foundation strong, for each stone must be sturdy If the foundation of freedom N to stand.
