COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT

Rappahannock County, the Scrabble School Preservation Foundation, and the Aging Together Partnership will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at 9:00 a.m. at the Rappahannock County Senior Center, 603 Mt. Salem Ave in Washington, VA. The purpose of the hearing is to solicit public input on the proposed Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) proposal to be submitted to the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development for the Scrabble School Heritage and Senior Center.
The draft CDBG will be presented for comment along with information on projected beneficiaries, including the number of low- and moderate-income residents to benefit from the proposed project. A fact sheet on the proposed project and the draft proposal is available at the County Administrator’s office (see address below).
