Program offered
Kitty Keyser, certified Waldorf teacher, is offering at Parent-Child Program for children 18 months to 6 years old in the Nursery / Kindergarten class at Hearthstone School. Classes are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with a two and a three-hour option. Two-hour classes are held from 8:45 until 10:45, and cost $10.00 per class. Three-hour classes are held from 8:45 until 11:45, and cost $15.00 per class, both sold in blocks of six. The first class is free! This is an excellent opportunity to learn about Waldorf and experience this growing method of education! Parents and children participate in activities including story telling, watercoior painting, handwork such as beeswax sculpture and sewing, rhythmic movement and dance, snack time and other activities. Please call the school office at 987-9212 if you are interested in participating in this program with your child or learning more about it.
Tuesday, February 28 and Wednesday, March 1: No Nursery parent/child classes will be held at Hearthstone School during winter break week.

The United Daughters of the Confederacy, Culpeper Chapter #73, cordially invite all Rappahannock County students, grades 1-12, to participate in an annual essay contest. We encourage any public, private or home schooled student to apply his or her knowledge of history. Cash prizes wil be awarded and winners will be honored at a special ceremony. Essay instructions and rules may be obtained at the Rappahannock County Library, the Rappahannock County Elementary School, or Rappahannock County High School. All entries are due by March 1,2007. March 3: Piedmont Softball

Piedmont SoftbaN Association registration for its spring season: Saturday, March 3, 9 am. - noon, at BiH Payne Auction Gallery, Rt. 211, Anxssvtfle (between Early’s Carpet and Mayhugh's Store). Additionally, registrations will be accepted at PSA’s 5th Annual Chili Bowl tournament scheduled for Saturday, March 17. PSA offers softball to girts ages 5 years old and up, and any ski level, beginner through advanced. Registration fees are $40. per girl playing 12 yrs. old and under, and $45. for girls playing 13 yrs. and older offered is a $5. discount for each additional registrant after the first from the same household.
