coach resigns

Jared Nieters, the coach behind Rappahannock High School’s regional winning volleyball team, has resigned.
Nieters said that he has been working on his Masters Degree in History at George Mason University and that his evening class schedule will conflict with the coaching job. “It didn’t seem that I would be able to do it this year,” Nieters said.
Nieters has recently moved to Haymarket, Va. and is opening a bike shop with a business partner. The bike shop will serve the needs of the Haymarket community and sponsor a semi-professional racing team.
In spite of his resignation, Nieters is still supportive of the Panthers and has volunteered to assist the team on an informal level. “Ill show up to a number of games when they come my way," he said. “In my estimation, the team has the potential to be better than last year,” Nieters said, noting that the team will only lose one senior as they prepare for the upcoming Fall season.
