The Mount Moriah Baptist Church located on Route 645 (Hackley Mills Road) in Amissville, was organized in 1888 under the leadership of Elder Thornton Hill. The church began with a few members in attendance.
Through God’s blessings many improvements have been made to the church. The latest is a project that includes an addition of a. larger and more comfortable restroom and a handicap ramp.
Mount Moriah meets the first and thii-d Sundays of every month with Sunday School at 10:15 a.m. and regular service at 11 a.m. Bible study is
