In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved husband William Edward “Ned” Settle, Sr. and two sons; William E. Settle, Jr. and James Randolph Settle.
A funeral service was held at Washington Baptist Church, Washington, VA on Wednesday, March 7, with the Rev. Bailey and Rev. Jon Heddleston officiating. Interment followed in Washington Masonic Cemetery.

Amissville resident
Edith Thelma “Lou” Stringfellow, 64, of Amissville, died on Friday, March 2, at Culpeper Regional Hospital.
She was born in Amissville on October 4, 1942, a daughter of Jessie and Mamie Stringfellow.
Mrs. Stringfellow was a lifelong resident of Amissville and sold firewood.
She is also survived by a brother and his wife, Robert and Eleanor Stringfellow and a sister and her husband, Edna and Cleve Thomas, all of Amissville and a large extended family of nieces,
