Rappahannock County’s first home track meet on the new athletic complex has been postponed, as the track lies unfinished by the new athletic field.

The track was scheduled to be completed last summer, and although asphalt was laid successfully, the track contractor was unable to complete it due to weather conditions.

Andy Hord, of Precision Sports Surfaces, said that the only construction step left for the track is to apply a water based rubberized surfacing.
