Farm-To-Table Workshop
Attending students were Henry Mason, Lucy Van Ness, Harper Van Ness. Marc Cugnon, Konstantin Langenberg and Jon Streu. Their Instructor was Trista Scheuerlein with Mandy Smoot and Breannah Shankle as interns. Students learned to harvest, prep and cook out of the Farm-To-Table gardens. Several field trips included Cliff Miller’s Mt. Vernon Farm, Muskrat Farm and Stoney Meadows which added to their local farming community experiences. Students prepared and shared a meal with our Senior Citizens Center. At the end of the week, students made blackberry ice-cream from their Muskrat Farm harvest and shared with everyone at the high school.
