I am writing in response to Mr. Jenkins’ request in last week’s Rappahannock News. Mr. Jenkins stated that he would like to know how the candidates feel about the case involving Mr. Marcus Malik’s sentence for cultivating marijuana in Rappahannock County. Because I was not directly involved in the case and I am not privy to all of the pertinent details, I believe it would be inappropriate for me to comment on the Court’s decision.
