Aug. 17: Auditions
for “The Crucible”
Performances will be October 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28 and November 2, 3,4 by the Fauquier Community Theater will be held Friday, August 17 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, noon to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the White Building at Vint Hill. Cutbacks, if necessary, will be held Sunday, August 19 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. If anyone has any questions on The Crucible in regards to the characters, etc. please contact Amanda Cansler, the director, at hero71978@embarqmail.com. Tax-Credit Projects
Staff of the Department of Historic Resources will conduct an open house consultation for property owners who have questions about their historic rehabilitation taxcredit projects or want information about pursuing a tax-credit project. The open house will be held August 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the department’s Northern Regional Preservation Office, 5357 Main Street, Stephens City. The department’s staff will work one-on-one with property owners to provide guidance for completing tax-credit applications and answer questions about the historic and character-defining features of a building, proposed architectural treatments, or tax-credit program requirements.
