Del. C. Todd Gilbert, RShenandoah, was the lead-off sworn witness before the State Corporation Commission hearing on the proposed 500,000-volt power line that would traverse Rappahannock County, held Wednesday at the North Warren County Volunteer Fire Department.
In his short presentation, Gilbert urged that if authorized the proposed high-voltage line be buried, in order to maintain die beauty of the Blue Ridge Piedmont area. “Rappahannock residents have long worked diligently to maintain their beautiful piece of the world,” he stated before the commission.
“Let the ratepayers who will use the energy pay to bury the line, so that we can maintain the natural beauty of Rappahannock County,” Gilbert pleaded.
