There was more food than everyone could eat.
All enjoyed the musical delights of Helen Smoot and Eddie McBee playing the guitar along with Clearance McBee singing gospel songs.
The best picnic game was simple, and did not require a lot of equipment for anyone. Maybell Smoot and Mary Gochenour played throwing the ice cubes. What a hoot to watch them!
At the close of the day, everyone could say that the day had been memorable - a tradition to preserve, a bond to build on for next year’s gathering.
There are four things that one cannot recover the stone after the throw, the word after it is said, the occasion after the loss and the most important one is the time after it’s gone.
