Carolyn Mae ZaharisMcDowell of Amissville, VA died on August 12, at Fauquier Hospital.
She was bom on June 23, 1937 in Clifton Forge, VA to the late Roy E. and Ernestine MMahaney.
Mrs. McDowell was an avid quitter working With and president of Piedmont Quitter's Club.
She is survived by her hus* band, Ira T. McDowell and daughters Jolynn Browning of Fredericksburg, VA and Vickie Daniels of Stafford, VA.
Additional survivors include her sisters, Dorothy Wooten of Appomattox, VA and Patsy Alfred of Washington, OH along with seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
