:Position will-work temporarily at Ashbum ‘Library until Rust Library re-opehs'ln 08. Serve as a member of Youth Services department in team environment. Duties include reference and reader's advisory service at a busy public service desk using library 's on-line catalog and web-based resources; planning and conducting programs for preschool and school-age children including weekly storv-time programs. Thorough knowledge of children s literature essential. Experience in planning and conducting programs for children in a diverse community is a plus. Strong computer skills in Windows based software; have experience in using on-line catalogs and other electronic resources and have excellent customer service skills. Schedule will vary including nights and weekends. Bachelor s degree with courses in assigned or related field. Prefer 2 years of library experience. (Hiring Range: $16.53 - $22.32) 08S146-047.
