From locals looking to wet a line after -work to urban emigrants on a hunt for trout, Rappahannock’s ponds and streams have something for every kind of angler.
David Konick is one of the locals. The attorney fishes two or three days a week on the Thornton River, which rims through his property near Rock Mills.
He sometimes catches his dinner in the Thornton’s waters. He also occasionally catches dinner for his cat, which gets to eat the small fish Konick reels in.
“Fm living off the land, so you would say,” he quips.
