at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday to report what may have been a case of overzealous door-to-door salesmen or something more serious.
The woman said a man knocked on her door, offered her a free sample of Lysol wipes and told her he had other free offers. She closed the door, but he returned with two other men that had a large, black suitcase. They began pounding on her front'door and looking through the windows while shouting, “We know you’re in there!”
She said the men also visited one of her neighbors.
The men were traveling in a faded, blue older model minivan with windows on the back doors. If anyone sees the vehicle, the RCSO would like to know the license plate number. Call the sheriff’s office at 675-5300.
Repeat wreck on Rock Mills
For the second weekend in a row, Luke Christopher was charged with reckless driving on Rock Mills Road.
Christopher, 34, of 194 Hunters Road near the Town of Washington, crashed the vehicle into a road sign and several trees before hitting a fence less than half-a-mile from U.S. 211, according to the Virginia State Police.
The accident happened around 10 p.m. Saturday. State Trooper Phillip Thomas said Christopher walked home from the site of the wreck and called the State Police around 8 a.m. on Sunday.
Christopher told Thomas that he was feeling dizzy and must have fainted while he was driving. He fainted a couple more times after the accident and was transported to Fauquier Hospital on Sunday.
