Please join the Women’s Auxiliary of the Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Association, Inc. for its 31st Annual Black History Program on Sunday, Feb. 24,4 p.m., at the Wayland Blue Ridge Center, 15044 Ryland Chapel Road (Rt. 640), Rixeyville. Ibis year’s program features an original play entitled, ‘A Journey5, written by Miss Crevia Pullen, a young, local playwright from Fauquier County. Miss Pullen is a member of the International Thespian Society Troupe # 4595 (Theatre Honor Society) and involved in the theatre department at Fauquier County High School where she is a senior. She has acted in plays and has won several awards. Proceeds from this event benefit the scholarship fund. Tickets are $5/adults in advance and $l/students at the door. Women’s Day will be celebrated at the Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Amissville, on Sunday, March 2. Rev. Ruth Webb of the Faith Christian Church and Outreach Center in Warrenton will be the speaker at the 11 a.m. service. Ihe Mount Zion Baptist Church, Warrenton will be the afternoon guests with Sister Sandra Foddrell, the guest speaker. Dinner will be served after the 11 a. m. service.
