Lees shot solely in black and white until 2005. at which time he took up digital. “I’ve never looked back," he said. “I wanted control over my product," something black-andwhite photography — in particular the developing process — gave him. “But the digital camera gives you the same control. Size, cropping, shading, color. It eliminates the ‘luck’ factor."
