Sheriff Connie Smith has found a successor for her former position as chief investigator in the Rappahannock County Sheriffs Office.

Tony Sisk was chosen from among eight applicants for the posttion and begun his new job Monday. The 36-year-old Boston resident has 14 years of law enforcement and investigative experience in Culpeper County.

“I thought it would be a good opportunity for training and experience,” Sisk said of his decision to take the Rappahannock job. “I like the small-town atmosphere.”

Sisk started his career in 1994 at the Culpeper County Sheriffs Office, where he worked at the county jail, patrolled, was a supervisor
