East funeral
on Friday
The Flint Hill community lost a fine man late last week. Please extend sympathy to Ardis East and her family on the death of her husband Homer. Homer was a long time member of the Flint Hill UMC and sang in the choir. He loved classical music, studying history and collecting guns. The funeral will be at the church Friday at 11 a.m.
The Griffin Tavern wants to remind you that the first Monday of every month is Sushi Night and every Monday is Seafood Night. Make your Valentine’s Day reservations. You can have a cozy dinner with your sweet heart and enjoy Trivia Night. Parties of two may have the opportunity to be seated upstairs for privacy.
The Rappahannock UM Churches would like to thank those who made donations of warm clothing, work boots and food for the homeless on the streets in Washington, D.C. The children of the Flint Hill UMC Sunday school made double-thick fleece blankets under the direction of their teacher, Lisa Palmer. These blankets and the other items were happily received by the homeless men and women when five people from the charge made this mission trip on Feb. 2. Future trips will be announced and community participation is welcome.
Upcoming birthdays are all on Feb. 23 - Jamie Costello, Joe North and Ashleigh Burke. Please call or send us your birthday and anniversary announcements and other news!
